Dirk B. Dudgeon
Founder and managing partner Dirk Dudgeon has managed hundreds of mergers and
acquisitions transactions during the past 25 years. At Waste Management, Inc.,
Dudgeon was Vice President of the mergers and acquisitions group for the
Western United States, completing more than 200 acquisitions in a two-year
span. He was Vice President of Business Development for USA Waste Services,
Inc., where he participated in acquisitions totaling $600 million. He was a
founding member of Sanifill, Inc., and helped grow the company into a $500
million industry leader, which later sold for $2 billion. A civil engineer by
training, Dudgeon began his career as Market Development Director for
Browning-Ferris Industries. He has held positions on the Board of Directors of several privately owned companies.
Dudgeon holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from California State University,
Sacramento.
William A. Rothrock, IV
Partner William Rothrock brings clients more than 30 years of
mergers and acquisitions experience. He was senior Vice President of the
mergers and acquisitions group at Waste Management Inc., successfully
completing more than 500 acquisitions with a combined purchase price of $3.5
billion. He was a founding member of Sanifill, Inc., and served as Vice
President of Business Development for USA Waste Services, Inc. In these
capacities, he helped complete more than 1,200 mergers and acquisitions
transactions totaling nearly $2 billion in revenue. At Browning-Ferris
Industries, Rothrock headed the company’s landfill acquisitions group. He has
held positions on the Board of Directors for both publicly and privately owned
companies. He holds a B.S. in Systems Analysis from Indiana University of
Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. in Business Management from Texas A&I University.
Daniel E. Jackson
Partner Dan Jackson brings a broad range of experience to
Chaparral Group. He has been involved in over 100 acquisitions in the last 15
years in a number of different industries, including a number of
restructurings, spin-offs and over 25 capital raising transactions. Jackson is
the former President and Chief Operating Officer of Cotelligent, Inc., a
publicly traded company specializing in custom application development. At
Cotelligent, Jackson also held the positions of Chief Financial Officer,
General Counsel and head of business development. A lawyer by training, he also
has four years experience in the environmental services industry serving as
General Counsel to Sanifill, Inc., a NYSE company. Jackson began his career as
a corporate finance attorney for the law firm of Morgan, Lewis and Bockius.
Jackson has held positions on the Board of Directors for both public and
privately held companies. He holds a J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law
School and a B.S. from Ohio State University.
